5 Tips for Overcoming Crazy Girl Emotions

We as girls seem to wear our emotions on our sleeves. When we feel good, we are happy. When we feel bad, we are unhappy. It can switch in a matter of a split second and it can happen back-and-forth multiple times in a row.

After doing some research and thinking this topic through, we’ve come up with 5 truths to help us as girls combat our “crazy girl” emotions.​

    The one thing that frustrates me more than anything is the incessant societal need to frame a girl’s emotions as crazy and irrational. It’s a silencing tactic that makes it impossible for girls to speak up about problems they have. If you’re feeling strongly about something, those feelings need to be respected and accounted for. Don’t let people give you the “it’s just hormones, sweetie” brush-off. Make them respect what you feel; your feelings are important.
