5 Wardrobe Hacks for Dressing Modestly (VIDEO)

By: Kristen Clark and Bethany Beal

Just because the standards for modesty and decency are extremely low, we as Christian girls, don’t have to give in.

We can stand strong in our convictions and continue to embrace purity.

Although there aren’t many of us, we aren’t alone. We have each other.

Modesty will always be a challenge, but one that we’ve discovered is totally worth fighting for.

Without further ado…we give you our 5 FAVORITE wardrobe hacks for dressing modestly during the hot summer months.

I looove camisoles 😀 I’m wearing one almost every day since I was little because my mom told me to to prevent getting cold around the waist area ^^ They’re so great for low-cut/v-neck shirts or any other tops that are a little see-through. They also prevent the bra from showing its outline through the shirt. And if you don’t wear a bra (because of a tiny cup size or because a bra + cami + shirt ist just too warm), there are some with hidden support… I’m so thankful for my mom instilling this great habit in me 😀

Another point that comes to my mind when I think of summer and modesty… I think long pants/skirts are also more hygienic. Because when you get all sweaty, sitting down on a chair, wearing only hotpants… the next person will have quite a sticky chair to sit on o.O (And by the way, clothes can also prevent getting a sunburn – no need to bath in sticky lotion every day :D)

Loved this video!! Thank you. I love being modest, but it gets tiring to find clothes that are modest. But thank you for the reminder, it’s not about us, it’s a small way we can honor God with our bodys.
    Keep up the great work!

Hi Girls! I have a question not really about fashion, but it touches modesty. In this summer I have an amazing opportunity to spend a day in a super spa. After that I have got a serious sunburn, which made my life miserable. It has pained and I only could wear loose-fitting dresses, I had to take painkillers too. One of my colleague asked me: “Why don’t you try solarium? Your skin would be browner and resistable for the sun.” Good idea! – I though, but I have been stuggling with this since then. God has given me this white, sensitive skin which get sunburn whatever I do against it. I have tried a lot of creams, sunscreens. This happens with me all the time when I go to plage. So, my question: for a christian gril is it OK to go solarium?…prevent me from a might be sinkcancer.
