The Modern Woman’s Struggle with Sexual Sin

By: Kristen Clark and Bethany Beal

Sexual sin has often received the label of being a “male problem.” However, lust isn’t a male problem — it’s a human problem, and women are desperately struggling too.

If you struggle to be open and honest about your own sexual sin,  see if any of these lies are at the root of your struggle:

1. I’m the only female who struggles with sexual sin and temptation.

2. Sexual sin is supposed to be a “guy issue,” so I must be weird.

3. My family and friends would be shocked if they knew what I struggled with.

4. Everybody views me as the “good Christian girl” so I can’t tell them.

These verses have been extremely helpful for us in our battle for purity.

James 5:16 says, “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.”

Galatians 5:1, “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.”

One Response to The Modern Woman’s Struggle with Sexual Sin

  1. Bella says:

Thank you girls for yet another wonderful post! I have a question, though; how can a virgin minister to girls fighting sexual sin? I have a heart for these girls, but I always feel like I don’t understand enough to help them.
